The inspiration behind this artwork stemmed from a desire to capture a facial facade reflecting a poignant metamorphosis, drawing on the harrowing impact of cancer-related conditions. My wife and I endured our respective battles with cancer scares, bearing witness to the toll exacted by the rigors of radiation and chemotherapy. During the initial stages of conceptualization, the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic reshaped the world as we knew it. Consequently, I steered the concept's trajectory to embrace this contemporary global affliction. Could I envisage something simultaneously beautiful and disturbing, a representation of both the light and darkness intertwined within this narrative?
